Arlington, Virginia
Arlington is a city located in the state of Virginia with a rich history. County was once part of Fairfax County and then was ceded to the U.S government. Congress was formally established there in 1791 but moved out of the area by 1801. The area was then retroceded to Virginia in 1846. The city renamed itself as Arlington County in 1920 as borrowed from Arlington National Cemetery which was established after the Civil War.
There area many things to do in the Arlington area including visiting the Arlington National Cemetery, Iwo Jima Statue (Marine Corps War Memorial), the Pentagon, DEA Museum and Visitors Center, Arlington Historical Museum, Freedom Park, Theodore Roosevelt Island and the United States Air force Memorial.
